Zoom on LiveSticker top functionalities
The Carrousel
The Carrousel gives you access to all your modules even if your page is closed.
You can also access to the history of your desktop alerts.
A click on the blue bubble on your screen launches the Carrousel, another on the "Personnalize" bubble at the center opens your page. The other bubbles give direct access to your tabs, modules, and alerts.
With a right click on the screen bubble, you can choose the way to open it, and if you want to keep the bubble on top of your other applications or not.
Stick the modules on the desktop
You keep visible the feeds or gadgets that are useful, even if your page is closed.
Each module and widget can be placed on your desktop thanks to the icon "stick on my windows desktop".
You can collapse or display your stickers through the quick launch icon on the taskbar.
Meanings of the stickers icons

: Web = display the full website into the feed reader |

: Display LiveSticker = open "My LiveSticker" page |

: Spotter = define a sentinel for this sticker |

: Stick = display the sticker on top of the other applications |

: Refresh = update the module |

The desktop alerts
LiveSticker propose to you two types of alerts : the RSS spotters related to your feeds that warn you when a news may interest you, and the event alerts (private sales, good deals, sports events…).
They appear through a window for a few seconds on the right bottom of your screen.
You can find a list of the past desktop alerts from the "Desktop spotters" bubble of your carrousel."
The RSS spotters :
The spotters watch every new information that may interest you and launch alerts related to your RSS feeds.
You choose and define them yourself.
Quick method : click on "Desktop alerts/My RSS spotters" on the left menu and check/uncheck the wanted feeds.
For personalised alerts : from the Spotter icon at the right top of the module, you can select key words.
The event alerts :
From "My LiveSticker" page, browse the alerts directory to subscribe to them.
In the Desktop alerts menu, click on the chosen feed and "add". You can define your settings through the P icon.
These alerts now appear on the "My event alerts" menu.
You can suspend the alerts for a moment through the quick launch icon on the taskbar. |
